61 Trip Report : Blackpool 11th September 2011

We start the first of our 61 trip reports off with something that is probably not a trip report in its own right !
On Sunday 11th September 11 the Bus Driver of the Year 2011 final took place at Blackpool.
A yearly event centred around the Hilton Hotel and lower walk promenade in Blackpool its always proved a happy hunting ground for new plated vehicles to be seen and ridden on.
This year was no exception with 3072 : MX61AVY a VDL SB200 / Wright Pulsar 2 of Arriva North West taking its place in the line up of vehicles.
It arrived Saturday afternoon for a night stop in the Hilton Hotel car park before heading out on Sunday morning to cover numerous trips around the Bus Driver of the Year circuit with drivers from various companies driving it.
